Moon Walk

Lunar Module LM-13

Location: Cradle of Avaition Museum, Long Island, NY

Equipment: Cell Phone Camera

This is a photo of Lunar Module LM-13 at its final resting place in the Cradle of Avaition Museum. LM-13 was originally scheduled to land on the Moon on the cancelled Apollo 18 mission.

Of the thirteen lunar modules that were built, six landed on the Moon. LM-13 is one of three surviving Earth-bound lunar modules. The other two never flown lunar modules can be found at the Smithsonian Institution and the Kennedy Space Center.

Tom Hanks borrowed this lunar module when filming the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon."
